The Paleo Solution: The Original Human Diet by Robb Wolf and Dr. Loren Cordain is an extension of Cordain’s The Paleo Diet, an eating lifestyle plan that involves eating the foods our hunters and gatherers ancestors survived on. The Paleo Solution has a more lifestyle-focus to it and provides you with the information and tools you need to lose weight, get fit, and reverse disease in 30 days.
The plan is a call-out to return to the plant-based and unprocessed diet of the Paleolithic period. The theory with this way of eating is that this was the diet that our early evolving human bodies were adapted to and therefore it is the style of eating that is optimal for our health in order to live long and stay lean and healthy.
Throughout the book, you will learn what simple foods will improve your appearance, how to lose unwanted weight and how to improve athletic performance. There is a 30-day meal plan included along with beginner and intermediate exercise programs.

Paleo Diet and Nutrition
The Paleo Solution teaches you about digestion, how protein, carbohydrate and fat influence hormones, and how this plays into fat loss, health or disease. You will also understand how dietary fats affect performance, health, longevity, or weight loss and weight gain. The book also discusses how lifestyle factors such as sleep and stress influence the hormone cortisol and may contribute to weight gain.
It also includes a detailed 30-day meal plan that adheres to the Paleo Diet. The Paleo Diet includes eating foods in their natural and unprocessed form. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole eggs, lean proteins such as lean beef, chicken, and fish are the backbone of this diet, whereas sugar, grains, dairy, legumes and processed foods, most flours and other refined ingredients are not allowed.
The Paleo Solution gives you a plan for exercise to help speed up your results. You receive exercise plans for beginner and intermediate fitness levels.
More information on the exercise portion of the program will be provided when the book is released.
As a follow up to the Paleo Diet, The Paleo Solution gives people a drawn out plan that will help them not only lose weight, but embrace a lifestyle that will keep them healthy for years to come. The benefits of this program not only reach in areas of weight loss, but in long-term health concerns as well.
Since most of the American Diet runs counter to the fresh and unprocessed nature of eating the Paleo way, the diet may be challenging at first. But it is definitely a diet that can be maintained in the long-term as long as you have the resolve and determination to eat clean in order to feel and look better today and tomorrow by following the Paleo Diet.
